Summary

In Chapter 32, Conn transforms back into a human. The spell struggles to work, and Conn can feel the magic is lower than ever. He wants to return to Nevery and tell him what he has seen, but he worries that Nevery would not believe him. Instead, he opts for the Dawn Palace where he will inform the duchess of his findings. When Conn arrives, the guards attempt to capture him. Because the duchess is not expecting him, Conn knows the guards will take him as a prisoner. He hurries away from the Dawn Palace and decides he will return to Nevery after all. Then, someone suddenly grabs him and puts a black bag over his head.
