Summary

In Chapter 36, Lily is in English class when she receives a text from Abelard. He has returned to Austin, and wants her to come over so the two of them could talk. Without hesitation, Lily stands up from her desk and asks Mrs. Rogers-Pena for a hall pass, and quickly runs out of the school before anyone sees her.

Lily arrives at Abelard's house shortly after. He had taken the bus home instead of flying. He is angry with Lily for breaking up with him, and expresses his desire to kiss her despite his rage. Lily tries to respond to him, but before she can finish her thought Abelard interrupts her by kissing her.
