Summary

In Chapter 15, Lily decides to give up on school. Now that she will inevitably fail geography, she crafts a "Total Failure Plan" (122). The plan, which also includes refusing to take her medication, is to stop doing any schoolwork so that her mother would have no choice but to send her to live with her father. When Lily and Rosalind meet for lunch, Lily realizes she is not ready to tell her about the Total Failure Plan just yet- she knows Rosalind will not approve. Rosalind invites Lily to join her and Richard to visit the Blanton, an art museum filled with modern art and classical Greek statue replicas. Says she will ask her mom.
