Summary
As Hurricane Braylen approaches Rudder, Kirby decides to order some pizza. When he arrives at the pizza restaurant, it is closed; the owners have moved north. Over dinner, Wanda asks questions about the naming system for storms and wonders why Frida named her for Hurricane Wanda. Kirby falters, but Lucas tells Wanda it is because she is powerful. Braylen tears through Florida and causes extensive damage, but Wanda is unperturbed, instead throwing herself into microscopic study with Phyllis, who shows her the bunker of preservatives she has been canning. Phyllis takes Wanda to one of her sample sites and Wanda falls into the muddy water while collecting samples. Her fall produces the same lights that it did at The Edge, and Phyllis struggles to explain away the phenomenon as bioluminescence.
As the winter holidays come and go, Lucas struggles not to worry about...
