Summary

The action then flows smoothly into Scene Three, beginning in Eric and Toby’s apartment, as Eric – completely naked – interrupts Toby, who is trying to work on his play. Eric seduces Toby into their bed, where they use graphic language to talk each other through Toby penetrating Eric. As their interactions continue, the conversation reveals that they have an open relationship (i.e., they are committed, but have sex with other people). As they get closer and closer to orgasms, Eric blurts out that he wants to get married. After their orgasms, they agree to do so, Toby asserting that in a couple of years at most, he will be able to afford to get married and create something of their own, rather than something borrowed (i.e., Eric’s apartment).
