Summary

Jordan goes back to the airfield with Tony, and they are surprised to run into Garrett, who informs them that he works there full time now. Tony and Garrett size each other up, and Nina, who tagged along, is excited to get a look at the planes. Over the past few weeks, Jordan and Tony have been spending a lot of time together, and "had had the freedom for quite a lot of kissing" (402). Perhaps in an attempt to make Jordan jealous, Garrett tries to flirt with Nina, to which Tony says, "she's going to eat him alive" (402).
