Summary

In Chapter 10, Maurizio meets with Dawn Mello, the president of Bergdorf Goodman, to try to convince her to work for him at Gucci. Mello is not interested. She has revived Bergdorf Goodman and loves her job. However, she agrees to meet Maurizio as a favor to a mutual friend. Even though she was skeptical before the meeting, she comes out of the talks interested in working for the company.

However, Maurizio has kept his activities to get Mello to join Gucci a secret from De Sole who first hears about the possible appointment through the rumor mill. Due to the fact that even Maurizio tells him that the rumors are false, De Sole denies the rumors only to later find out that they are true.
