Point of View

The point of view of this novel is third person omniscient. The narration follows the main character, Bod throughout most of the novel. However, there are several parts where the events in the plot are seen through the eyes of the man Jack or Bod's friend, Scarlett. This change of narration is not always clear to the reader, but it provides information to the reader that they might not have been aware of if the narration had stayed close to Bod.
