Summary

The next section is the “Journal of Rose Ingrid Castle.” Rose writes about her fear over reuniting with Owen and fantasizes about his positive reaction. She admits Owen has been “lukewarm” about Rose visiting and fears he may not want to get back together. She believes she deserves that and “links” it to her mother's lesson that “love was conditional” (42).
