Summary

In Chapter 42, Faith runs away from Mrs. Henderson's house, but ends up running into Lionel. He grabs Faith. Mrs. Henderson asks if he will give Faith a ride and he agrees. Faith gets into the car. As they drive, Faith realizes that he is not taking her to the police station. Lionel says that he is taking her to Darrington because she is not safe. He also says that he understands how Faith feels because of the events surrounding his brother’s death. Faith continues to think that Lionel is connected to the cabin murders, especially when he mentions the bump on her head. She thinks Lionel is the person that knocked her out, but he says his mother told him about it. Faith tasers him and the car crashes into a tree.
