Summary

In Chapter 27, Faith emerges from the woods onto the road. She notices that she is bleeding. Faith narrowly misses being hit by a car. Tommy arrives in his police car. She tells him that she remembered something, but he focuses on the blood coming from her hand. Faith assures Tommy that she is fine. It turns out he was the person she saw with the flashlight. He wants to know if it was her that he saw running from the cabin. Faith wants to know if he followed her. Tommy denies doing so and tells Faith to get in the car. He knows she has been drinking. Even though he should take her to the police station, Tommy calls someone to wait for them because he cannot take her to the hospital.
