Summary

As Uni meditates by the lake, pleading with the Earth Mother, she offers two eong-fa flowers as a trade. The Earth Mother reveals visions of the forest’s past, present, and potential future, showcasing the destruction wrought by the Ayin-Strig conflict. Though the Earth Mother’s disdain is palpable, Uni's heartfelt pleas for mercy and her belief in unity and change seem to resonate. A brilliant light engulfs the cavern, and when it fades, Uni sees that Vaedan’s wounds are healed. Overcome with relief, she cradles him, whispering her gratitude to the Earth Mother.

Vaedan awakens, confused but alive. Uni embraces him, overwhelmed with emotion. As he realizes where they are, he notices the eong-fas and explains they were for her, to apologize and express his love. He offers her the last eong-fa, confessing that he cares for her enough to break...
