Summary

In Chapter 25, Claire wakes up in Alex’s bed and runs into the bathroom to throw up. She realizes she has a cut from one of the guy’s fingernails on her vagina. She throws up more and pours rubbing alcohol on herself. Alex helps comfort her. Claire calls her parents and tells them what happened. Her mother tells Claire that she loves her and wants to meet Alex, and then she tells Claire that she is grounded.

In Chapter 26, Jack spends all day thinking about the sound of Ray Parson’s ear tearing. He talks to his mom about Alex and wonders if it is ever possible to know a person. His mom tells him that she knew Alex’s dad in high school, but her mom was from outside the county. Still, she encourages Jack to just call Alex. Right then...
