Summary

Chapter 38 opens with Lucy arriving in England. Stella says she likes England because it has "good colors" because the trees are vividly green (202). They make it into London, and Marco is surprised to see an appliance store and fried chicken restaurant when he thought he would see Buckingham Palace and Big Ben. They cross the Thames and make it to Cheyne Walk. Lucy sees the house as just a house, not the mansion she saw it as when a child. Since the front door is padlocked, Lucy decides that they will have to break in through an alternate route.

In Chapter 39, Libby awakens to find that she and Miller had fallen asleep in a bed in 'Phin's' flat, completely dressed in their clothes. Libby recalls that he had poured the duo glass after glass of wine the previous night and pushed the drinks...
