Summary

Chapter 5 opens with Lucy trying to hide the reminder about the baby on her phone from Marco. Marco says he does not know much about her because Lucy does not give him details. He suggests Lucy call his father and ask for money, but Lucy refuses at first. Then, she rethinks it but says she does not know where Marco's father lives. Marco tells her that his father, Michael (Lucy's ex-husband), picked him up from school, so Marco knows where he lives. Lucy says that Michael paying for her to get her fiddle back from the repair shop will solve their problems, but Marco sarcastically remarks that the fiddle-playing will surely make them rich. Lucy apologizes to Marco and promises that she will visit Michael the following day to ask for help.
