Summary

Dr James and Toby have a conversation at an indeterminate moment in the past where they discuss the pain of Dr James losing a parent. Toby asks about her leg and whether there’s a scar. Toby calls her leg beautiful.

The play returns to the present. Dr James asks Connie about why her box was not attached overnight. She comments that Tristan’s was removed at the exact same time. Connie confesses that they have been texting each other. Dr James complains they were told that cellphones interfere with medical equipment and Connie questions whether that’s really true. Rather than answering, Dr James asks Connie whether she had sex with Tristan.
