Summary

In Chapter 9, Falk and Raco visit Jamie Sullivan, who was the last person to see Luke alive. The day of the deaths, Luke went to Jamie’s farm to help him shoot rabbits. They ask Jamie what ammunition they used, and Jamie says they used Winchester rounds. Jamie’s elderly grandmother lives with him, and when Raco asks if anyone else came to his house on the day of the deaths, Jamie says no. Falk believes this to be a lie, as he notices Jamie’s grandmother look up for a second after Jamie’s reply. In Chapter 10, Falk tells this to Raco in the car, and they discuss the death of Luke Hadler, who was found in the back of his own truck in the woods. He appeared to have shot himself.
