Force of Nature Overview

In Jane Harper’s second book of the Aaron Falk series called Force of Nature, five women go into the Australian bushland on a corporate retreat designed to build teamwork, but only four of the women emerge alive. Agent Falk of the federal financial unit is called to help investigate the disappearance because he was working undercover with Alice Russell in order to shut down her company and arrest her boss for money laundering. Worried that his pressure might have caused Alice to slip up and lose her life, he feels personally responsible for uncovering what happened to her in the bushland. What he learns leaves him questioning the nature of culpability itself. Along the way, the novel explores themes of nature, parenthood, time, and crime.
