"The Disreputable History of the Loyal Order of the Basset Hounds" is a small, leatherbound book full of the history and misdeeds of the Order of the Basset Hounds. Entries range from the founding in 1951 to 1975, when the book was lost because the riddle to find it was so vague. The riddle slowly became the official oath of the Order, and the history book became a mythical object. Frankie discovers the history beneath the bronze campus map on the widow's walk of the Founder's House. It is accidentally left behind in the steam tunnels when Frankie rushes to get out.
