Summary

The next diary entry is titled "Friday." No one is happy about their experience so far. Again, Greg wonders if it is time to return to Gramma's basement. Dad wants them to actually camp. So, they find a National Forest. Greg is skeptical because they are going to be alone, but Dad assures him there will be rangers nearby. The next day, they arrive at the entrance to the forest. A ranger warns them to be responsible with fire because it has not rained recently. They do not see another camper on their way to their site. While everyone kicks back to enjoy themselves, Mom quickly decides they have to do something and sets out on a hike.
