Summary

In “The Book,” the Book tells Benny “people do want to read about boys who think shitty thoughts about their mothers” (154).

In Chapter 19, a week into the school year, Benny decided he “needed to stop going” (154). He created a dummy email account using Annabelle’s name and emailed the principal saying he would be “absent from school until further notice” (155). Afterwards, he began spending his days at the Library. Benny later received an email from the principal saying the school needed a doctor’s note. The voice in Benny’s head told him he was in danger.

In Chapter 20, No-Good told Annabelle to “stop feeding [the] crows” and clean up her property (164).
