Chapter 26 Summary

The following day, Barney picks Valancy up for the wedding after driving to the Port to get their marriage license. Mr. Towers form the free Methodist church performs the ceremony. On the drive back, Valancy asks Barney to describe the island and the house where he lives. Barney describes the house, the scenery, his two cats and an owl that lives on the property. When Valancy sees it for the first time, she exclaims that it's her Blue Castle. Barney rows the canoe over to the island and kisses Valancy for the first time.
