Chapter 15 Summary

Mrs. Frederick tells Uncle James and Uncle Benjamin about how Valancy packed up her bags and left to live at Roaring Abel's house. the two uncles insist Mrs. Frederick should have stopped Valancy from leaving. Uncle James vows to go see the family lawyer and Uncle Benjamin vows to see Dr. Marsh again.

Chapter 15 Analysis

The uncles themselves predict that Barney Snaith hanging around Roaring Abel's house will mean something when it comes to Valancy. The prediction is inferred that Valancy might end up with an illegitimate child just like that is Cissy Gay's child.
