Summary

In Chapter 19, Kenny meets Mayor Jiaying Wu at the park where she is going for a 5-mile walk. Kenny joins Mayor Wu walking and asks about Bradley Dobeck; Mayor Wu explains that Bradley was a challenge to her during her first term as mayor, threating her poorly because she is both a woman and Asian. Kenny asks if the mayor thinks racial tensions are better now and Mayor Wu acknowledges that the issues are both personal and institutional.
