Chapter 4 Summary

Tony Torres forces Edie and Snapper to tell him their plan. Then Tony presents one of his own. Tony needs a bodyguard because of the irate customers who might come looking for him. Tony also needs a woman to pretend to be his wife. Tony owns his house outright, so all the insurance money will be his, except for the fact that he is married and his wife's name is on the deed. Tony's wife left him several months before and Tony is reluctant to share the insurance money with her. Tony offers Edie and Snapper ten thousand dollars apiece to help him out.
