Chapter 5 Summary

While Rialla is getting the horses, Tris sneaks to the tower where Laeth is being held. Tris is very stealthy from years of poaching in the forest, and he easily sneaks past a few of the guards. He uses the cloak of magic to sneak past the others, and makes it to the top of the tower, where Laeth is being held in a cell, bound with many chains. There is a spell on the lock, so that magic can not open it, so instead Tris uses magic to turn the wood of the door to powder. He uses a key stolen long ago from the prisons to unlock Laeth's bonds, and then uses his healing ability to help him bring circulation back to Laeth's hands and feet. They hear a crash below them, and slowly go down the stairs.
