Albert “Bert” Whitehead

Albert “Bert” Whitehead is a highly decorated General who serves as the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Whitehead suspects from the beginning that Beecham is the traitor in the White House and attempts to convince Betsy and Ellen to believe that also. However, when Betsy and Pete locate memos that seem to prove that Whitehead encouraged both Shah’s release and the exit of the United States from the Iran nuclear pact, they believe they have found solid evidence that Whitehead is the traitor. When Whitehead learns he is suspected of being a traitor, he attacks Beecham, a strange move because he has been trained in the military to keep himself under control. It is later determined that Whitehead beat Beecham in the face, breaking his nose so he would have to go to the hospital while the President and his remaining advisors talked...
