Summary

In Chapter 23, Jack heads out to clip the hedge animals. He starts with the rabbit. He is distracted by the playground and when he turns back to the animals he feels oddly as if someone has been watching him. He suddenly realizes that the hedge animals have changed positions. The lions are blocking the path. As he stands, the animals continue to move closer to him. Jack claps his hands over his eyes. When he removes them, the animals are back to their original positions. He forces himself to believe that he hallucinated the whole thing.

In Chapter 24, the snow begins to fall, taking the decision of leaving out of Jack, Wendy, and Danny’s hands.
