Summary

The family arrives at Sunny and Ben’s apartment. Sunny shows Alma and Julia the baby’s room. Julia is surprised by Alma’s “bright female-bonding voice that Julia didn’t know she had in her” (220). Julia remembers Francine Grimes showing her their nursery. While they eat, Sunny asks Julia if she got morning sickness during her pregnancies, and to commiserate, Julia talks about a time she vomited in the city. When Sunny asks how Julia and Mark met, Julia mentions simply that it was over some change but that Mark has a bit about it that she should have him tell her.
