Summary

In Chapter 9, Simon and Ingrid follow Cornelius's directions to find Rocco. Simon is struck by the horrible smell as they see discarded junk and people passed out. Rocco, who has dark black skin, refuses to help them find Paige, citing the need for confidentiality in his business. Someone recognizes Simon from the video of him striking Aaron in the park. A moment later, a man named Luther enters, pulls out a gun, and shoots Ingrid. Ingrid falls to the ground and Simon throws himself over her, knowing Luther was going to kill them. Someone then shoots Luther, though Simon does not see the identity of this shooter.

Chapter 10 reverts to Ash and Dee Dee. They are preparing to kill their next target, a tattoo artist named Damien Gorse. They talk briefly about Dee Dee's situation. Ash says she does not have to return...
