Summary

In Chapter 29, after getting MARBLE’s burst transmission Benford assigned Alice to compile a list of the ten biggest secrets in America. Afterward, he allowed Nate to see the message MARBLE had sent which indicated that Dominica was alive and that she was working with MARBLE again.

When Benford quizzed Nate about the meaning of Egorov’s canary trap. Nate said it meant that Egorov was desperate for information about MARBLE. Nate knew that Egorov expected someone in the American government to get one variant of the story back to Egorov, the variant of the story that was returned to Egorov would identify the mole.
