Summary

In Chapter 18, Mila and her father decide to go back to the camp later. They return to town and do more shopping. Mila is homesick but feels oddly comfortable in the small town where they are staying. She sends Cat a text but doesn’t get an answer. She finds her father in a bookstore looking at book that he says is an old translation of the book on which he is working. She thinks about the text that Matthew sent. She isn’t sure how to respond to him.

In Chapter 19, as they eat lunch, Mila nearly chokes when she sees that it is snowing. The waitress tells them snow in April is not unusual. Mila sends Cat a text telling her it is snowing. They drive back to Matthew’s camp in the snow. There is a red car parked near...
