Summary

Chapter 21: “I Offer Relationship Advice. No, Seriously. Why Are You Laughing?” opens as Grover shows Percy all of the pictures Blanche took of him. During this conversation, Grover admits his girlfriend, Juniper, seemed really angry when he was talking about the photographs and Percy helps Grover realize Juniper is likely jealous. Percy encourages Grover to apologize and avoid talking about Blanche in the future. Then, Grover mentions that he found information on strange energy near Washington Square Park that all of the nature spirits seem to be avoiding. However, Grover has not found any information on who Gary actually is. They decide to meet at the park the next day when Grover suddenly admits he is terrified of being left behind when Annabeth and Percy leave for college.
