Chapter 9 Summary

Leslie and Richard find that it doesn't feel the same without Pye. They are now navigating on their own. The sea below them also appears different. Leslie tries to pick a place where they can visit but finds she draws a blank. Richard tries and gives Leslie the directions. They appear in a place with a tent in the desert somewhere. There are campfires all around the area. The tent is guarded by two guards who can't see them. Richard is very nervous and wants to leave but Leslie doesn't want to. She feels that they are there for a reason and slips into the tent. Richard hears a scream and rushes in. The man trying to attack Leslie went through her. He kept trying to attack both of them.
