Dalinar Kholin

Dalinar Kholin is one of the main narrators of the novel and a highprince of Alethkar. He is also the bondsmith to Stormfather. In the past, Dalinar is a war hero who leads many conquests against other highprinces to solidify his brother, Gavilar’s rule. Dalinar caused the destruction of the Rift after he was betrayed by the leader, Tanalan, inadvertently killing his own wife, Evi. He comes to regret his decision, even though Sadeas takes the credit to try and hide the truth. This causes Dalinar to sink into a dark depression and try to drink his way through the pain. Eventually, he goes to the Nightwatcher to take away his memories and move on with only the guilt of his brother’s assassination in his heart.
