Summary

In Chapter 25, Tessa and Finn meet with Marian. She tells Tessa about a priest who gave a victim of the IRA his last rights. They talk about going to confession and about Finn being christened. Then Marian reminds Tessa of their cousin’s wedding. The groom’s uncle is Cillian Burke. Tessa does not want to go, but Marian tells her that she must.

Tessa, Marian, and their mother go to the wedding. Tessa notices Cillian’s behavior when the ceremony is over. The reception is in the Balfour. Marian introduces her to Seamus, Damian, and Niall. Another guest asks her about her job at the BBC. Then Seamus comes to talk to her. He asks about Finn. She lies and says he is with Tom when he is really with the babysitter. Tessa feels nervous because Seamus knows so much about Finn...
