Summary

In Chapter 16, Cox stops at a gas station and hides the things she took from the house before going to the second house and meets Cole who is there alone. Deese arrives soon afterwards, and she tells both of them what happened. Deese implicates that Cox could have killed his brother, but Cole gets him to accept that she is telling the truth. Deese vows revenge even though he realizes that Santos is not a killer. They decide that they have to leave Las Vegas and they have to go ahead with the Harrelson home invasion plan to get money. They decide to do it that evening. Deese calls Smith who says he does not know what happened. Smith tells him they can still meet to transfer the money.
