Summary

In Chapter 28, when Che walks Sojourner home from the gym the following day Sojourner kisses Che. Instead of going inside, Sojourner and Che find a hidden bench in the park. They kiss and touch. Che admits he has never had sex. Sojourner says that she has. She points out the irony that he is an atheist but has not had sex yet she, a Christian girl, has.

In Chapter 29, when Che wakes up the following morning, Che hears Rosa’s genuine laughter from downstairs. He runs down knowing something is wrong. He sees Rosa standing next to the island where Seimone is having an allergic reaction. Her eyes are swollen up and she is turning blue. Rosa is standing next to her with the auto-injector but is not using it. Che takes it from her and injects Seimone. Che’s parents hear...
