Chapter 18 Summary

Regan explains to Alec that her cell phone is lost, but she is unable to remember the last time she used it and where she might have lost it. Alec notices how beautiful Regan is. He's tempted to ask her out but doesn't. He's leaving Chicago in a few months, so there is no point in starting a relationship now. He's certain Regan Madison is not the type to engage in casual sex.

While he's checking out her legs, Alec notices the fresh scar on Madison's knee. He inquires about it and that's when Regan remembers where she lost her phone. She explains to Alec how the man was chasing her through the parking lot and she dropped her purse when she fell and re-injured her knee. She must have left the phone lying on the pavement as she limped away.
