August 11 - August 30 Summary

Stargirl opens this section by writing a letter to Archie asking him for advice about her relationship with Perry. She says that she doesn't know what she feels for him - a crush? more? less? - but she definitely feels something. The main conflict she feels is whether she is drawn to him as a way of making Leo jealous, because she is lonely, or because she feels a genuine connection to him. Later that week, Stargirl rushes to Calendar Hill to meet Leo, and is sorely disappointed when he doesn't show up. Immediately, Stargirl begins making excuses for him - she didn't explicitly invite him so why would he show up? She quickly places her marker and walks home. Stargirl is clearly depressed after this, comparing herself to a cup of coffee that's spilled all over the floor...
