Chapter 10 Summary

Sunday morning, Stella is in temple with Shana and Simon. The night before, when she got home, Stella enjoys being home alone. When she hears the garage door go up, she runs up to her room to pretend she's sleeping. She's still wearing the thermal top and pearl necklace Ainsley gave to her. On Sunday morning, when Stella hears the garage door go up, she feels compelled to go to temple with them and tells them she wants to go.

Because they have to walk into services late, Stella can tell that Shana feels very uncomfortable. The first thing Stella thinks of in temple is Ainsley, and if she's planning to kill herself how Stella won't try to stop her.
