Chapter 7 Summary

The next morning, when Stella wakes up, she decides to skip on Senior Skip Day to visit Donald in the hospital. She takes the bus there and the doctor says her grandfather is having a psychological evaluation while the doctor escorts her to Donald's room. Donald starts to tell Stella that he doesn't know if her mother is his biological child when the doctor interrupts again. They play like normal granddaughter and grandfather while the doctor is in the room.

When the doctor leaves, Donald resumes his story. Donald tells Stella that when he and her grandmother got back from their honeymoon how her grandmother spent one night out without coming home or telling Donald where she was. he assumed she had a lover.
