Summary

In Chapter 45, during Tia and Jamie’s next visit with Marty, Jamie described his confrontation with Therriault to Marty while Tia was in the bathroom. Jamie was hurt because Marty did not seem to believe him, but at the same time, he reasoned that Marty found it difficult to believe because he was so smart.

Hoping to prove what happened, Jamie asked his mother to tell Marty about the power outage in the building. Tia explained the superintendent told her there was a freak power surge that blew every breaker in the building.

In Chapter 46, Marty sent Jamie an email later that night warning Jamie even if he had bested the demon, that he should never whistle for it to come, he should just leave it alone. He also asked Jamie to visit him without his mother so Jamie could describe the incident...
