Chapter Twenty through Chapter Twenty Two Summary

Chapter Twenty finds JJ happily reflecting on her week in LA with Brad. But as she dreams of her perfect life, she thinks of Ben. She also wonders at why she finds it so odd that Brad is so forward, after only a week, seemingly to fall on her every word, and to fall in love with her instantly. She is also annoyed by his seeming lack of intelligence about literature, or important events. She calls Geraldine, who makes her feel better about the situation, but she still feels something is awry. Later, she goes to meet Brad, but runs into Jenny. She tries to be friends with the young woman again, but she clearly despises her. JJ, confused, asks Brad about the situation, but he tells her not to worry about it...
