Chapter Eleven through Chapter Thirteen Summary

In Chapter Eleven, Brad seems thrilled at Jemima's photo and wants her to phone him, while Ben is contacted by Jackie, Diana MacPherson's secretary, to come in for an interview. Diana is well known for her preference of young men, and her interest in Ben is not surprising. Ben immediately phones Jemima to come talk to him, as he can't wait to tell her. Jemima, anguished inside, is outwardly proud of Ben, and hopeful for him. When Geraldine joins them, she tries to give Jemima a hard time about her new boyfriend, but Ben doesn't seem to notice, or notice that Jemima has lost weight.
