Summary

Chapter 26 is titled “Reunion,” and it continues from French's perspective. French spends the night tormented about Sunny. He decides that he will give up his own life rather than turn anyone else over. French realizes Mitch will never be the brother he once knew. He is anxious to get out of the facility so he can grieve that loss. The next morning, French is summoned to a meeting. It takes a moment for him to recognize Agent Parisien as the man he knew as JP the previous day. French is relieved to realize the three Native Americans were planted there, meaning he was not a traitor after all. A moment later, he learns that JP was the only plant, meaning he had actually helped capture Sunny and Therese. Mitch compliments Agent Parisien on his performance.
