Summary

In Chapter 18, Georgina is finishing her math homework when Mama returns to the car. Mama promised her that things would be better soon. Georgina kept her sarcastic thought to herself. Mama said she was getting close to having enough money to move until the car died. She needed to find someone to fix the car cheap. She put the key in the car and it miraculously cranked. Georgina considered that Mookie might have fixed their car. Georgina didn’t sleep well because she was thinking about Mookie, Carmella, and Willy.
