Hurt: Chapter 46

As Jude falls the light becomes less bright and he finds himself in the passenger seat of his black 1965 Mustang. Anna is driving along a road he recognizes from when he was a kid. When Anna asks him where he wants to go Jude suggests a spot he knows where they can sit, listen to the radio, and look at the view. Jude points to the turnoff and sees that Marybeth is now driving. Marybeth tells him that he has two girls for the price of one, then says that after everything she’d heard about the nightroad she’d expected worse.
