Summary
Rashid and Richard organize a protest in support of the men’s right to stay in Germany.
The next day, Richard hears the news that some of the refugees from Oranienplatz have occupied the top floor of their residence, and are threatening to commit suicide off of it.
Richard goes to the building where some of the men are protesting, and sees Apollo, Tristan, Yaya, Moussa,mKhalil, Mohamed, Zair and Ithemba waiting around outside. He also sees Rufu, and goes to speak to him. Rufu seems to be in some sort of a trance-like state. Richard sees pills in his hand, and tells Rufu that he must get off the pills, otherwise there is no hope.
Richard speaks to a friend, Jörg, about Rufu’s pills. Richard is swiftly confronted with Jörg’s racist approach to the refugees, and then considers...
