Chapter 27 Summary

Bridget faces tournament week at camp with a new determination. It is apparent that her team and Eric's team will meet in the final game on Friday. She thinks of nothing else all week, and she doesn't see Eric at all.

On the day of the final game, Bridget has to face the problem of what to do with Naughton. She has decided where to place the other players, but she is stuck on where Naughton could be most effective. Early in the morning, she takes Naughton to the field and tests him as goalie. She finally understands that he can't do a good job in practice because he has too much time to think, and it slows his reactions. She feels he will be very good in an actual game.
